الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ): وَيحَ المُسرِفِ ، ما أبعَدَهُ عن صَلاحِ نفسِهِ واستِدراكِ أمرِهِ !
Imam Ali (AS) said, ‘Woe betide the wasteful person, how far he is from self-improvement and from redressing his situation.’[Ghurar al-Hikam, no. 10092]

If Moses and Haroon (S) were ordered by Almighty God to speak with soft words to the Pharaoh, we should certainly speak to our sons, while they are our subjects, our satisfaction and our everlasting charity, with soft words! Isn’t that fulfilling what the Almighty called for in His saying: {Call unto the way of thy Lord with wisdom and fair exhortation, and reason with them in the better way} and {There is no compulsion in religion}. So let us ask Almighty God for help, and pray to him saying {Our Lord! Vouchsafe us comfort of our wives and of our offspring}, so that the Prophet (S) can be proud of such offspring in front of other nations in the Hereafter.
Measuring what you eat!

Humans are better than angels!
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and the Imams) said: ‘Nothing is more honored by Allah than humans.’ He was asked, ‘Not even the angels, O Messenger of Allah?’ He said, ‘The angels are compelled [by predestination] like the sun and the moon.
Explanation: The Prophet stated that since humans have the power to choose between good and evil, when they choose to do good then they are better than angels since angels can only do good. This also implies that humans can be worse than the devil if they choose to do evil.

Urinating on the dead!
So when American soldiers feel it is within their moral right to urinate on the dead bodies of others it is viewed as an aberration! but what if others, lets say a Taliban soldier – and I am no fan of the Taliban - was caught doing the same thing, would it be reported as an aberration or will the entire faith of Islam be demonized for the actions of a few? This question also applies to the American soldier who killed over 250 Iraqis and was quoted as saying that he didn’t consider his victims human! what if a Muslim uttered the same statement, wouldn’t the entire Muslim population be demonized? Shouldn’t that solider be tried for crimes against humanity?
